Why "Extraordinary"?

All sorts of labels are in circulation regarding the disabled:

"Disabled"

"Handicapped"

"Crippled"

"Differently Abled"

"Special Needs"

As compared to the rest of the population:

"Normal"

Meaning everyone who is not fully-physically-functional is "ab-normal"

I prefer the terms "Typical" as in "just like everyone else", and "Extraordinary" as in "Someone special."

Disabled people the world over wake up to unique physical challenges every single day. They are truly extraordinary.
